2026 CTCI Foundation Overseas Student Employment in Taiwan Grant

To support overseas students who intend to remain in Taiwan for employment, facilitate their transition into the workplace, and assist them during the early stages of their careers, the CTCI Foundation has established the “Overseas Student Employment in Taiwan Grant” starting in 2026. This grant provides necessary living support at the beginning of their careers and encourages them to apply their expertise and contribute their knowledge in Taiwan.

   Eligible Applicants, Qualifications, Award Quota and Amount

    1.Department Institute Nomination:

(1)Eligible applicants: Master’s and doctoral graduates of the current or immediately preceding academic year from designated science- and engineering-related departments or institutes (133 departments and institutes in total) at the following eight universities: National Taiwan University, National Tsing Hua University, National Cheng Kung University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Taiwan Normal University, National Central University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and National Taipei University of Technology. Each department or institute may nominate one applicant only.

(2)Qualifications: An average academic score of 80 or above for each semester during graduate study, and employment in Taiwan in scientific research or technology-related work (excluding postdoctoral research).

(3)Award quota and amount: Up to 10 recipients; each recipient will receive NT$100,000.

2.Previous recipients of the CTCI Foundation “Research Scholarship for Overseas Graduate Students”:

(1)Eligible applicants: Master’s and doctoral graduates in the current or immediately preceding academic year who have previously received the CTCI Foundation Research Scholarship for Overseas Graduate Students. No department or institute nomination is required; applicants should apply directly to the CTCI Foundation.

(2)Qualifications: Employment in Taiwan in scientific research or technology-related work (excluding postdoctoral research).

(3)Award quota and amount: Up to 10 recipients; each recipient will receive NT$100,000.

     Application Period

July 1 to September 10, 2026 (If the postmark is past the date, it will not be accepted.)

MSE would nominate 1 candidate for the scholarship, please prepare more competitive documents as possible.
