Future Outlook

In terms of the Department’s hardware facilities, we started the construction of the “Material Science Building” as well as the remodeling of the old Department Building in 2009. The construction of the “Material Science Building” was completed in 2013 which became one of the most modernized buildings for performing material science-related studies and researches in Taiwan, offering our students a world class learning environment.

As for our software capability, we will continue to strive for a research-based Department. Not only we will continue to recruit talented faculty members, the curriculum and research topics that we offered should also link closely with related industries in the world, allowing students to apply what they learned in class. Moreover, professors and students of the Department will collaborate with first-class research institutes worldwide to incubate research talents with not only professional skills but also world vision.
